Pastor's Welcome

Dear Friends in Christ,

May the Grace and Peace of Our Lord Jesus Christ be yours forever!

It is with immense joy that we welcome you to St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church in the heart of downtown Los Angeles, CA.

Our mission can be found in recognizing and serving Jesus Christ in His Word, the sacraments, one another, and especially in the poor.

As a place of worship and historical significance, our stunning church—constructed in 1925 and designated a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument—is not only an architectural marvel but a home for those seeking to follow Jesus Christ wholeheartedly.

As Parish Priest, I pray that St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church might be for you and your family a sanctuary for your encounter with Jesus Christ and his spotless bride, the Church.

May God's blessings accompany you and your loved ones always.

Sincerely yours in Christ,

Fr. Gary A. Mueller, CM

Our Mission

St. Vincent DePaul Church is a Roman Catholic, Vincentian community of faith called together by God to know, love, and serve Jesus Christ in His Word, in the sacraments of the Church, in one another, and in the poor.

We, as the body of Christ, joined in Baptism and inspired by the grace of the Holy Spirit, enrich our faith through prayer and worship, spiritual formation, diversity of culture, hospitality, acts of service, and a concern for family life.

Guided by the example of St. Vincent DePaul, we strive to use our many gifts for the increase of the Kingdom of God and to find the face of Christ in the poor.
